What I've been into recently:
Books- Trust Me I'm Lying - Ryan Holiday's first book and a great read for anyone curious about media or wanting to sell anything online.
- Slow Productivity - A refreshing reprieve from hustle culture from one of my favorite business authors, Cal Newport.
- The Ender's Game series - Yes I read all 5 books, they are freaking awesome.
- The Comfort Crisis - Really great story telling molded with a prescription for learning how to do hard things.
- Shadow Divers - Super cool book about discovering an unidentified U-Boat off the coast of New Jersey. Deep sea diving now terrifies me.
Movies
- Civil War - Eerily familiar and cautiously correct. Not for the faint of heart.
- Dune 2 - Read the book, watch the first one, watch this one. See it in IMAX.
- A Beautiful Mind - took me way too long to watch this movie. Russel Crowe kills it and the plot twist is epic.
Media
- In Good Company - interviews with CEOs from the world's largest companies.
- Bert Kreischer - the funniest live comedy I’ve ever seen. Biggest takeaway: “You hang out with bad mother f-ers, you become a bad mother f-er." Stay tuned for his new special dropping soon.
- Hamilton soundtrack - My go-to for long plane/car trips. Two things always stick out. 1. The amount of influence Hamilton actually had on the birth of our country's most important institutions. 2. Lin Manuel Miranda’s writing/dialogue. So impressive.
-Bleachers - Live in Austin and Houston - Yes, I saw them twice on back-to-back nights. These guys know how to put on a show and Jack Antonoff is a genius.
My favorite picture. Taken by yours truly at Zion National Park.
